Qualia Cufflink was purchased in January 2011 from the Qualia Stud,
Pinjarra. He arrived as a yearling and is proving to be everything we expected him to be: quiet, responsive and a horse that enjoys human company.

We purchased him after an extensive search for a stallion/colt that would meet our needs. His bloodlines contain quarter horse genetics  (Acres Destiny is his grand-sire on his sire's side) and the athletic, more traditional ASH genetics we were keen to maintain. His father, Binnia Impressive Destiny, was the 2011 ABCRA Open Horse of the Year and All Round Horse of the Year (for more information about Impressive Destiny, go to: binnia performance horse), before going on to win 48 campdrafts over the next 3 years.  Impressive Destiny is no longer standing at stud to outside mares, limiting the opportunities for breeders to access his dynamic breeding potential.

Cufflink's dam is Haydon Brooch, so he brings to us some of the qualities which have seen Haydon stock horses playing polo at an elite level all over the world. (see the September/October 2012 story "International Polo Update" for more about her family!). Cuffy has a sweet nature, has provided us with lots of fun so far and we are so enjoying having him in our family.

Since 2015 Cuffy has competed in dressage (up to elementary level), showjumping, campdrafting, team penning, breed classes, barrel racing, stock horse classes and bending.

So far his foals are showing every sign of being as intelligent and composed as their sire, and we are looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings us as we start work on the youngsters and welcome the new season's foals.
