Cunnamore Huntsman
Born
on 4 November 2005, Huntsman is another horse we sourced from the Cunnamore
Stud at Mt Barker.
Out
of Easterly (Browns Chan Way-Just Nice) by Nonda Spider in the Swag, Huntsman
has proved to be a wonderful horse who has turned his hand to just about
everything.
He
is a valued member of our family, regularly used for mustering sheep and cattle
on the farm, and for pony club activities including polocrosse, dressage and
eventing.
He
has competed in two campdrafts, and while not the speediest steed in the camp,
he is a great mount for our children who are still learning the art.
He
has performed very well in the hack ring, particularly as a hunter, winning
champion galloway hunter at the Esperance
Equestrian Club’s autumn show in 2011. When he started competing in the hack
ring as a four-year-old, he was so quiet and unflappable that he now has a fan
club which refers to him as “the wonderful Huntsman”.
His sire, Nonda Spider in the Swag, is a reliable performer in the campdraft
arena with Guy Bennie in the saddle.
