Baerlochan Tillraider
We purchased Tillraider in 2011, and she is in the process of being registered by the ASH society for breeding purposes only. A 15.2hh chestnut mare by Corporate Raider out of Scarlet Tilla, we jumped at the chance to purchase this gorgeous mare, who is a full sister to one of the best horses we have had the pleasure to own. Her brother, Scarlet Raider, was a true all-rounder, competing in campdrafts, at one-day-events, in dressage, at the State Tetrathalon and working cattle and sheep on a regular basis. He died of a mystery illness two years ago and left a real hole in our horse team. Tilly came to us as an experienced pony club mount, capable of jumping over 1m and having competed in ODEs and dressage. She has only been with us for four months, and has already competed in a one day event, attended several pony club rallies and the annual district agricultural show.
Cunnamore Calibre
Born on September 21 2007, Cunnamore Calibre is by Tinagroo Winchester (110406 The Ranch Abbeys Top Gun-106523 Gavins Rampling) out of Easterly (105195 Browns Chan Way-75105 Just Nice). She is a dark brown filly bought from the Cunnamore Stud at Mt Barker as an unbroken two-year-old. Since her arrival here, she has matured considerable, and has been broken in by our children. Since her first real ride under saddle, Calibre has attended pony club rallies and competed in in-hand and ridden classes at shows including the Esperance Districts Agricultural Society Show. She is proving to be a versatile young lady with an almost unflappable disposition. Her elegance and forward movement have made her a picture to watch when she is in the dressage arena or hacking ring, and she is learning to jump with great enthusiasm and confidence. She has been competing in pony club, camp drafting, showing and stock horse, with huge success.
Escholar October
Born in 1998, she is by Drought out of Royal Peg and bought by us in 2010, Escholar October is a Thoroughbred mare, registered by the Esperance Senior High School farm for use in its Stock Horse breeding programme. She was bred by highly regarded Esperance breeder Chris Sproule, and is a magnificent 16.2hh chestnut with a lovely temperament. An injury early in her racing career saw her retired as a broodmare, but she is still capable of working at home, and has proved to be a steady and reliable horse, capable of moving cattle and being ridden by children at pony club.
Auchentek Lass
Easterly
Born in 1995, Easterly is by Browns Chan Way 105195 (Brown My Way 32149-Glengarry Can Dee 2637) out of Just Nice 75105 (Trudys Man 76245) Green Spec. Brown My Way is by Abbey 448 out of Rays Gift 2625. Trudy's Man is also the sire of Jensen's Man, the sire of Olympic eventer Ringwould Jaguar. Easterly performed well in the show ring. Wins included the Show Series led class in the Show Series 4 Final WA in 2003, and the led mare 5 years and over 15hh and under at the WA Championships in 2004. While her main role in the enterprise is that of a broodmare, in between foals she has done lots of stock work, attended rallies at the Munglinup Pony Club, competed in the show jumping at the Esperance show, and done some dressage and hacking, all with a 10 year old rider on board. We already have three of her progeny on the property, Cunnamore Huntsman, Cunnamore Calibre and Baerlochan Shooting the Moon. All have lovely temperaments and so far have proved to be go anywhere do anything horses: hacking, dressage, jumping, stock work.
Baerlochan Intan Permata
Tullie is a brown Thoroughbred mare we recently acquired as an in-foal broodmare from friend and fellow breeder, Suzanne Compagnoni of Lake Edge Work Horses. She was born in 2002, is 15.3hh and has been schooled in the arts of dressage and jumping. Lovely to handle on the ground, and proving to be a wonderful mother with her first foal on the ground, Tullie is by Magin of Money (Aus) 1990 out of Swan Soprano. Her ASH registration is pending. Her first foal has a sweet temperament, has already had the halter on and been led, has been played with by children and when we watch her playing by herself in the paddock, she has an amazing turn of speed and is very agile. Named Poppy (officially Miss Moneypenny), she is by Quarter Horse stallion Southern Hills Double0seven. She will be eligible for ASH registration.
Giaya Double Pass (Star) (B2-191911) was purchased along with paddock mate Tullie from Lakes Edge Work Horses as an in-foal broodmare. Born in 2004 and registered with the ASH (breeding purposes only), Star is by Blackfriars 02 out of Star Rhythm 02, and her bloodlines trace back to Beau Sovereign and Junction Girl on her dam's side. Blackfriars was WA's leading TB sire in 2011, and in his time Beau Sovereign's progeny regularly topped prices at yearling sales in WA, with champions like Asian Beau among his winning offspring. Star has been ridden around the farm and is a pleasure to be around.
Cunnamore Slingshot
Born on 4 December 2007, Slingshot was bought from Cunnamore Stud, Mt barker, as an unbroken two-year-old. This dark brown filly is by Tinagroo Winchester (The Ranch Abbeys Top Gun-Gavins Rampling) out of Cunnamore Blue Lightning (drought 02-villa real 03). She is half sister to Parkiarrup Pierre (Future Options-Cunnamore Blue Lightning), who is consistently performing over east as a *** eventer. The 16hh chesnut gelding was started by Sonja Johnson, and is Blue Lightnings"s first foal. Slingshot has been broken in, but only had light work due to an injury early in 2011. Prior to her injury, she had been shown with success in led classes in Esperance. Standing at over 16hh, well built and with plenty of bone, we anticipate a career as an eventer lies ahead of this beautiful animal.
